Ibuprofen injection (e.g., Caldolor) is an intravenous (IV) nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat mild-to-moderate pain, moderate-to-severe pain (often with opioids), and fever in adults and children (6 months and older). Administered over 30 minutes, it works by inhibiting COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes to reduce inflammation.Â
