Ramipril (Altace)

Ramipril (Altace) is an ACE inhibitor used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure (especially after a heart attack), and to reduce the risk of stroke or heart attack in high-risk patients. Common side effects include dizziness, cough, and headache. It should not be used during pregnancy, by those with a history of angioedema, or in combination with aliskiren in patients with diabetes.
